USP Renovation Board System

The best method of dry construction

From the basement to the roof: the USP system is ideal wherever building interiors are being modernized, redesigned or converted.
The lightweight, impact-resistant and rot-proof USP board is even suitable in critical situations where you could not expect plasterboard, for example, to cope: in wet and damp rooms, i.e. bathrooms, shower areas, toilets and all other areas with medium to high exposure to moisture. This is where USP, with its high pH and vapor-diffusion structure, prevents the development of mold and condensation. In addition, it is then usually unnecessary to install a costly vapor barrier. In the event of fire USP (combustibility class A 1 in accordance with DIN 4102) does not develop any toxic gases.

The perfect solution – fast

It is a product with 1,000 options. For designing with face formwork to conceal unattractive or rough masonry, adhered directly to solid and wooden joist ceilings, uneven solid surfaces such as brickwork and plaster, or affixed to wooden laths or metal structures: with USP it is possible to create completely smooth, ready-to-coat surfaces – without any boring or high-risk plastering work. Since USP calls for fewer steps in work and is highly uncritical from a technological aspect, installation is easy and safe anywhere.

There are no high demands which have to be met in terms of indoor climate, humidity or temperature. Painting, decorative coating, tiling, plastering, wallpapering, etc. can commence after only 24 hours.

USP material calcium silicate – simply geared to the future

USP is made of calcium silicate so it is beneficial by nature. The raw material is in virtually unlimited supply and is certified to be devoid of all pollutants and substances which are hazardous to health. In 2003 this was confirmed by the German consumer advice centers, with definitely positive results: in comprehensive comparison tests they established that calcium silicate was the most suitable insulation material for interiors.
